Katarina Dahlman Appointed as Environmental Advisor for the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland
Katarina Dahlman has been appointed as the new Environmental Advisor for the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland (Kemianteollisuus ry). She will fill in for Johanna Pentjärvi during Pentjärvi’s parental leave.
Katarina Dahlman has previously worked as a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and at Finland’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels. Additionally, she has served as a Special Advisor to Member of the European Parliament Nils Torvalds. Dahlman will start in her new role on November 1st, and she will be responsible for environmental, biodiversity, and water issues at the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland.
“I am truly happy and excited about this opportunity to step in for Johanna and work on important matters for the Finnish chemical industry,” says Dahlman.
“It’s wonderful to have Katarina on board to bring new perspectives and solid expertise in environmental matters,” says Johanna Pentjärvi. “We have known each other for a long time, and I feel confident passing these responsibilities on into familiar and skilled hands during my parental leave.”
“It’s fantastic to have such an experienced environmental expert joining the team,” says Sami Nikander, Director of Responsibility at the Chemical Industry Federation. “Katarina has experience in decision-making at both the national and EU levels, and her expertise will strengthen our sustainability team as Johanna steps away on parental leave at the end of the year. The entire team wishes Johanna all the best for her important duties elsewhere.”
