New industry platform to boost energy efficiency in chemical SMEs
Cefic announced the launch today of a new Europe-wide project to bring more chemicals industry energy efficiency, particularly for small- and medium-sized companies.
The EU co-funded project, called ‘Sectoral Platform in Chemicals for Energy Efficiency Excellence’ (SPiCE3), aims to boost energy efficiency in chemicals SMEs, which count for the majority of sector firms and often hold untapped energy management potential.
Coordinated by Cefic, the SPICE3 project brings together 11 national chemical federations, which together represent around four-fifths of European chemicals industry sales.
